    2001 Ugliest Dog Winner

    Sam, the 2005 World’s Ugliest Dog winner, is all over the news right now. Sam has held the title of World’s Ugliest Dog since 2003 (according to the Sonoma Marin County Fair, which appears to be the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show of ugly dog competitions). It made me wonder just how ugly some of the past winners were…

    The ugly dog above is Nana, the 2001 World’s Ugliest Dog winner. The 2002 winner was a Chinese crested, Rascal.

    Another un-beauty pangeant for dogs is held by The Flamingo Flea Market in Bonita Springs, California. Here are the winners from 2001 to 2004:

    How did you do on the search for the ugliest cats? I have tried searching for them and haven’t found much of anything. Let me know if you post them here. I’ll be sure to check them out.

    Thanks for posting pics of previous ugly dog winners. Your site is the only place I’ve found them so far.

    Just wanted to let you know that the Ugly Dog Contest is held in Bonita Springs, Florida. And, I’ve got the pics for 2005 this year too. Interesting enough, a past champion - Zippy, died this weekend too. Look at my news section for more details.

    hey hell yeah sam is ugly, but it is sad that he died. you have to look at it like it was somebodys pet and they cared about him… so in that way… im sorry for the owners loss.

    hey yeah sam was an ugly dog. and i would have been scared of him too! but its sad that he died cuz i understand that he was her pet and sheloved him very much… im sorry for your loss
