Columbo was abondoned due to his poor looks. Luckily for him, he was adopted by a Japanese beautician. Kensuke Hirakawaa used a special dye to turn the dog into a panda bear.
Thierry Poncelet paints dogs and cats in classic human poses. Poncelet’s paintings are beautiful homages to 18th and 19th century aristocratic potraits. Simple and comical on the surface, the paintings are actually detailed masterpieces. No dogs playing poker here.
Due to popular request, or more accurately a single request to this post, I’ve searched high and low on the Information Superhighway to find dogs that look like Chewbacca. There are loads of dogs named Chewbacca, but few of them actually look like Chewbacca.

I must say that Chewie was, and is, my favorite Star Wars character. Dogs obviously have a natural advantage in the looking-like-Chewbacca department, but I was surprised by the lack of dog costumes.

This Harelquin Great Dane is more of a Huge Dane. Gibson, who is shown in the picture above with a 6′1″ tall man, currently holds the Guinness World Record as the world’s Tallest Living Dog.
Tyson is an amzing dog. This dog doesn’t just get pushed around on a skateboard, he navigates the skateboard with skill and enthusiasm.
